Pack 042 grew by leaps and bounds this year nearly doubling in size.  Our September Pack Meeting recognized all our new Scouts and families as well as all our returning Scouts.  Returning Scouts were presented with awards they had earned over the summer.

Tiger Cubs from Pack 042 and neighboring Pack 384 got together on Tuesday the 9th of December to tour the Bartholomew House in Richfield along with the Richfield History Center.  This field trip helped the Tigers complete one of their Go-See-It requirements for their Tiger Rank.

Every year Pack 042 joins other Metro Lakes Cub Scouts for an afternoon of roller skating fun.  Nearly 100 Scouts enjoyed the roller skating and most earned their Roller Skating Belt Loop as well.

The Bat Lady came and visited Pack 042 in November and taught the Cub Scouts about Bats and she even had some live one that Scouts were able to view up close.

Pack 042 Tigers and Bears visited the Richfield Police Station for a tour of the facility.  Scouts got to see what it was like to be locked up in jail, how a 911 center works, how criminals are fingerprinted and processed, and they even got to sit behind the wheel of a police car; with the flashing lights on.

Pack 042 had great fun with their yearly Halloween Party for their October Pack Meeting.  Scouts wore their costumes and broke into teams of 2 and 3 for the annual pumpkin carving contest.

Pack 042 kicked of the year with it's annual combined Den Meetings at Woodlake Nature Center. This early fall gathering allows Scouts to get back into the routine of Scout meetings and everyone enjoys a hike around the Nature preserve.

An evening of FIRE; Fun, Information, Recruiting, and Excitement, which even included a visit from the Richfield Fire Department.

Pack 042 added 12 new Scouting Families to the Pack with a few more still to come.  New Scouts and their parents met existing Scouts and leaders and fun was had by all.

Some current and new Pack 042 Scouts attended the District Fishing and Recruiting event this summer at Augsburg ark in Richfield.  Some even caught a fish.

Pack 042 Webelos Scouts, enjoyed a second day of webelos activities at the Phillippo Scout Reservation in Cannon Falls earning a total of 3 Webelos Activity Pins and a Cub Scouting Belt Loop over the course of two days.

Pack 042 Webelos got a big jump start on their Scouting year by attending the first of two Webelos Adventure Days held at  Philippo Scout Reservation in Cannon Falls.

Pack 042 Scouts, families and friends enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins defeat the Texas Rangers 6-0. After the game the pack spent the night down on the Metrodome field.

Scouts from Packs 042, 384, and 120 celebrated the birthday of the United States of America together by participating in the Richfield Fourth of July Parade. Scouts enjoyed biking the parade route and giving away candy.

Pack 042 Pinewood Derby was well attended by Scouts, families and friends. Driver's Licenses to race were issued to all Scouts who were to race. Fun was had by all as cars streaked down the track and a fine hot dog and chips cuisine was served. At the Den Meeting on Tuesday Feb 26th the Wolves and Bear Dens joined forces. In anticipation of the upcoming Pack 042 Pinewood Derby, Scouts made Pinewood Derby neckerchief slides out of clothespins.

The Pack 042 Blue & Gold Banquet was held at the Knights of Columbus in Bloomington this year. A mighty fine spaghetti dinner was enjoyed by all Scouts, families and friends. Awards and achievements earned were presented and the Mad Scientist finished the evening with a fun and informative show on Science for all Scouts and their families.

This year's annual Metro Lakes District Adult Recognition Dinner found many of Pack 042's Adult Leadership being recognized for their outstanding volunteer efforts, commitment, and contributions to the Metro Lakes  Scouting  program  over

A Scout is reverent towards God and faithful in his religious duties. Pack 042 Scouts and their families attended Mass at our Pack's Charter Organization; St Richard's Catholic Church in conjunction with Scout Sunday. Duty to God  was  achieved and fellowship amongst Scouts, families and the parish was enjoyed
